The need for innovative approaches within modern
socio-humanitarian cognition drives the development of Ukrainian
historiographicy towards the finding of optimal methodological strategies, the
ideological, epistemological and methodological potential of which would allow
modern historiography not only to integrate the research tools of
civilizational, anthropological and synergetic approaches, but also to play an
important role in the streamlining of the socio-cultural and state-building
processes in modern Ukraine.
The article proposes scientific tools for
historiographical research of the Ukrainian national and cultural revival of
the second half of the XIX – first third of the XX century.
In the article the scientific set of tools of historiographical research
of the Ukrainian national and cultural revival of the second half of XIX — early XX centuries was proposed and validated. The research framework
which is based on the key scientific propositions concerning the understanding
of the historiography of the given period was presented. The civilizational
historiographical paradigm, the tools of which enables an integral and
comprehensive study, was also employed within this research.
The main theoretical principles of historiographical
research were identified; the key propositions of the theory of modern
historiographical method were represented. The scientific basis of the historiographical
research of the given problem was described, the stages of the research of the
national revival of the second half of
XIX — early XX centuries were identified.
The main outcomes of the research are the authors’ propositions of the scientifically grounded and objective historiographic panorama and the key framework which give tools for the analysis of various aspects of the Ukrainian national and cultural renascence — national, mental, ethnic, spiritual and religious, personalistic, educational, scientific, literary etc.
