The author analyses the implementation of the ukrainization in the technical
school in Soviet Ukraine during the 1920–1930s on the case study of the Kyiv
Polytechnic Institute. A large number of scientific studies is devoted to the issue
of ukrainianization in the spesific period. In her investigation author used archival
documents and matirials. Based on the archival materials and documents,
author asserts that, despite some difficulties and, in separate incidents, counteraction,
the implementation of the policy of ukrainization during the 1920–1930s
promoted the usage of Ukrainian language in the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, rised
its prestige among students and the academical staff, gave a chance to make the real prereguisites for the training of national technical specialists and to lay the
foundations for the development of Ukrainian scientific and study literature, including
Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
