L. Hrynevych Between Scylla and Charybdis: Jewish Refugees during the Times of Revolutions and Wars of 1917 — Early 1920’s in Ukraine

The paper focuses on the dynamics, fate, survival strategies of refugee Jews,
and Soviet policy on this issue, based on archival documents. The author concludes
that refugee status, along with pogroms, has become a component of a large-scale
humanitarian catastrophe experienced by Jews during the times of revolutions and
wars of 1917 — early 1920’s in Ukraine.
