This article says about famous retreat of Marshal Ney from Smolensk to Orsza. It is the first trial in historiography to show the role of Marshal Ney and colonel Konstanty Przebendowski in saving of rear guard corpse of the Great Army. It shows true story showing real hero of escape of Ney’s corpse remains from Russian encirclement. It also shows the cause of confering on Ney the title of prince of Moscow. Ney in fact led to destruction of his corpse, while colonel Przebendowski saved remains of the corpse.
