В статті розглядаються передумови формування сучасної української історіографії проблеми діалогу культур та українського євразійства. Аналізуються погляди на те, що слід розуміти під Заходом і Сходом, під діалогом культур та проблемою українського євразійства. Виділяються основні концепції діалогу й напрямки в оцінках як окремих складових проблеми, так і її в цілому.

In the article pre-conditions of forming of modern Ukrainian historiography of problem of cultural dialogue and Ukrainian Eurasianism are examined. Looks are analysed to that it follows to understand under the West and East, under the dialogue of cultures and problem of Ukrainian Eurasianism. Basic conceptions of dialogue and directions are distinguished in the estimations of both separate constituents of problem and her on the whole. Researchers of culture cooperations of Ukraine didn’t work out the same point of view about its civilization-spatial identity. Looks to the same aspects can be opposite. Both problems are comparatively scantily explored in Ukrainian historiography. The protracted period of soviet power have influenced negatively on research development, when a problem was examined. In modern Ukrainian historiography hasn’t terminological unity concerning that it follows to consider East, and that it follows to consider West. There isn’t methodological unity in that, what approach it follows to take for basis.
