На основі свідчень очевидців про масові поховання репресованих і страчених органами НКВС осіб в Україні, музейних експонатів та архівних матеріалів в Музеї-меморіалі імені Василя Стуса показано важливість усної історії в розкритті історичної правди, «білих плям» нашого минулого і сьогодення.

On the basis of eyewitness accounts of mass burials of the repressed and those executed by the NKVD of persons in Ukraine, museum exhibits and archival materials in the Memorial-Museum named after Vasyl Stus shown the importance of the oral history in discovering the historical truth «white spots» of our past and present. According to interviews collected hundreds of eyewitness testimony and received huge irrefutable material. Numerous eyewitness accounts and public initiatives contributed to materialization and materialization of historical memory. Very large contribution to the return from oblivion victims of Stalinist repression owned Ukrainian cultural and educational society «Memorial» named after Vasyl Stus. Recovery of historical memory of the tragic pages of our history, returning good name slaughtered innocent victims of Russian Bolshevik occupation arose on the agenda of contemporary Ukrainian society.
