In the context of tasks of creation of the Ukrainian biographic dictionary is outlined authorial vision, theoretical and methodological bases and scientifically-methodical problems of his conception in the process of practical realization of the noted project. The place of biographic constituent is shown in the struc-ture of humanitarian knowledge.
