У статті обґрунтовується актуальність біографічного напряму історичних досліджень у сучасній Україні. Представлено огляд серії видань про видатних конструкторів, підготовлених зусиллями науковців НТУУ «КПІ», наголошено на їх важливому науковому значенні, а також на ролі в контексті вдосконалення навчального процесу у вищій школі.
In the article actuality of biographic direction of historical researches in modern Ukraine is grounded. The review of series of editions about prominent designers, prepared by efforts of scientists of NTUU «KPI» is imagined, its scientific value, and also role in the context of perfection of educational process at higher school are marked.
