The article is dedicated to the bright memory of my uncle, Corresponding
Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Professor of the Faculty
of Cybernetics of Taras Shevhenko National University of Kyiv, Doctor of
Physics and Mathematics Boris Bublyk. This article observed the achievements
of an outstanding scientist in the fields of applied mathematics and cybernetics.
Particular attention is paid to his organizational work as dean of the Faculty of
Cybernetics and the establishment of the Department of Modeling of Complex
Systems which he chaired for thirty years. Boris Bublyk made a great contribution
to the development of mechanics, cybernetics, and new areas of science related
to computing and its applications.
